The European Data Protection Board’s (EDPB) Data Protection Guide for Small Businesses is now available in 18 languages, including English, French, German and Portuguese.
The document supports small business owners in their efforts to become more compliant with data protection rules. It aims to raise awareness of the GDPR and provide SMEs with practical information on GDPR compliance in an accessible and easily understandable format.
Available on the EDPB’s website, the guide covers various aspects of the GDPR, from the basics of data protection to data subject rights, data breaches and more. It contains videos, infographics, interactive flowcharts and other practical documents to help SMEs put data protection into practice. In addition, the guide contains an overview of practical documents developed for SMEs by national data protection authorities.
