CNPD Course

Data Protection Basics

Description

As our society collectively moves online, so businesses, public administrations, associations and other professional actors increasingly find themselves collecting, exchanging and processing personal data.

And yet, the use of such data is subject to stringent rules. Processing activities such as video surveillance, geolocation, human resources management, biometrics as well as the transfer of personal data to third countries must be carried out within the relevant legal framework.

In order to respect the rights of citizens and to comply with their own obligations, all concerned actors (interested persons, data controllers, data processors, ...) should know and understand the relevant rules on the protection of personal data.
