CNPD highlights responsible innovation at ISACA Luxembourg AGM

The CNPD was honoured to participate in ISACA ('Information Systems Audit and Control Association') Luxembourg’s Annual General Meeting, where Commissioner Alain Herrmann was warmly welcomed by Chapter President Philip Frimpong.

In his address, Commissioner Herrmann emphasized the importance of aligning regulation with innovation, rather than positioning them in opposition. He presented the CNPD’s Sandkëscht initiative — a regulatory sandbox designed to support developers in aligning their AI solutions with GDPR requirements during a six-month pre-deployment phase.

“The Sandkëscht is a forward-looking tool that enables responsible innovation,” said Mr. Herrmann. “It allows developers to test and refine their technologies in a secure, compliant environment.”

Currently, two case studies are underway within the Sandkëscht, marking a significant step toward building trustworthy AI systems in Luxembourg.

The CNPD thanks ISACA Luxembourg for the opportunity to share its vision and remains committed to fostering innovation that respects fundamental rights and data protection principles.
