On 21 January 2026, the CNPD had the pleasure of meeting Mrs Martine Hansen, Minister for Consumer Protection, along with the heads of the Directorate for Consumer Protection (DPC).
The stated purpose was to exchange views on common issues related to consumer protection and their personal data, particularly in the context of the law of 20 November 2025 amending the Consumer Code (Mém. A507 of 21/11/2025), which now allows the CNPD, as a qualified entity, to bring collective actions in consumer matters.
After a detailed presentation of their respective activities, the CNPD and the DPC explored possible avenues for strengthened cooperation within their respective areas of competence.
