The CNPD invites the public to discover ‘Think Privacy’, an artistic and civic initiative by the artist and researcher Adam Harvey, on display at the Elektron Project Space in Esch-sur-Alzette. This exhibition forms part of a wider reflection on the challenges facing privacy in an increasingly connected world.
Conceived as a public information campaign, ‘Think Privacy’ takes the form of a series of posters displayed across Luxembourg, as well as a mirror installation on display in Esch-sur-Alzette. The work invites everyone to reflect on a question that has become crucial: what does it mean to live in a society where our movements, our faces and our habits can be continuously recorded and analysed?
Through an accessible and visual approach, Adam Harvey raises public awareness of the challenges associated with surveillance, the collection of personal data and the right to privacy. The exhibition thus offers an opportunity to gain a better understanding of the issues surrounding data protection and to encourage reflection on our relationship with digital technologies.
