The European Union is currently experiencing a wide-ranging health crisis due to the coronavirus (Covid-19). In this context, Luxembourg's private and public entities are facing complex challenges in their daily operations.
This thematic dossier compiles the recommendations and declarations of the CNPD, the EDPB (European Data Protection Board) and other bodies.
National Commission for Data Protection (CNPD)
On March 13 2020, the CNPD published its recommendations on the processing of personal data in the context of a health crisis. These recommendations are updated regularly in order to remain in line with the existing legal framework
European Data Protection Board (EDPB)
Since the beginning of the crisis, the CNPD has participated in numerous teleconferences with its European counterparts on Covid-19 and is actively involved in the development of guidelines.
In this context, the EDPB has issued declarations and adopted several documents:
