The CNPD will participate in the 6th Data Privacy Day organised by the Restena Foundation and the University of Luxembourg. The event will take place on 29 January 2024 in Belval; interested parties will also be able to log on online.
An event to raise awareness
Data Privacy Day is an annual event for people interested in data protection and privacy. It aims to raise awareness and promote best practices in privacy and data protection at the European and international level.
With its first edition taking place in 2018, Data Privacy Day provides useful information about current trends, legal and practical aspects as well as the technical contexts of privacy and data protection.
A global initiative
The event is organised - under the aegis of Cybersecurity Luxembourg - as part of the International Data Protection Day, which takes place every year on 28 January. Launched in 2006 by the Council of Europe, this initiative is celebrated throughout and outside Europe by various awareness-raising activities organised on this particular date.
