The CNPD has just published an information report on investigations into transparency in the online services sector.
Between 2020 and 2022, the CNPD conducted thematic investigations on transparency in the online services sector covering 6 bodies established in Luxembourg and offering online services in different areas (commerce, catering, leisure and other services). This choice was driven in particular by the strong growth of some online services in the context of the pandemic.
The purpose of these thematic surveys was to ensure that controllers who collect data from data subjects do so in compliance with Articles 12(1), 13 and 14 GDPR.
The report is a synthesis of the work and results of these investigations. The first part presents the goals and the procedure. The second part presents the results. The third part describes the decisions taken by the Restricted Panel in relation to these investigations.
The report is currently only available in French.
