The CNPD is once again pleased to be collaborating on International Human Rights Day ("Journée internationale des droits de l'Homme"), which will be held on 10 December 2024 in Dommeldange. The annual event is organised by the Consultative Commission on Human Rights under the patronage of the Ministry of State and the Ministry of Justice.
In addition to the CNPD, the Centre for Equal Treatment (CET), the Ombudsman - Médiateur du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg and the Okaju - Ombudsman fir Kanner a Jugendlecher have contributed to the organisation of International Human Rights Day.
Programme
- Welcome by Ms Noémie Sadler, President of the Consultative Commission on Human Rights
- Introductory speech by Ms Elisabeth Margue, Minister for Justice, Minister attached to the Prime Minister, responsible for Media and Connectivity.
- Round table discussion: ‘Is freedom of expression in danger? The proliferation of hate speech on social networks and in politics’.
