Luxembourg GRC Summit 2026: CNPD participates in the panel discussion “Powering Cybersecurity Through Data: Luxembourg’s Vision in Action”

The CNPD will participate in the Luxembourg GRC Summit 2026, organised on 3 and 4 June 2026 by the NC3 (National Cybersecurity Competence Center) at the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce.

In this context, Alain Herrmann, Commissioner at the CNPD, will take part in the panel discussion entitled “Powering Cybersecurity Through Data: Luxembourg’s Vision in Action”, which will take place on 3 June 2026 from 15:45 to 16:45.

This session will bring together several Luxembourg stakeholders involved in cybersecurity, innovation and data valorisation to discuss the challenges and opportunities related to secure data sharing in the field of cybersecurity.

A discussion on cybersecurity data spaces

The discussions will notably focus on the development of the first open European cybersecurity data space, coordinated as part of the national Cybersecurity Flagship project. The objective is to foster the sharing of cybersecurity-related data — such as threat intelligence, vulnerabilities or the effectiveness of protective measures — in order to support the development of innovative and accessible solutions, particularly for SMEs.

The speakers will also address several key issues, including:

  • the implementation of trustworthy and secure data sharing;
  • the balance between interoperability, sovereignty and control over data;
  • the regulatory frameworks applicable to data sharing;
  • as well as the mechanisms needed to ensure data quality, integrity and traceability.
