Ask for explanations and if necessary contest this decision taken without human intervention.

Indeed, you have the right to be informed about the logic that controls decisions that are made based solely on an automated processes. The organization in question must give you the possibility to state your point of view and, if necessary, to contest the decision.

… and what about profiling?

Profiling is a technique used to analyze or predict your behavior and lifestyle or consumption habits through the automatic processing of your personal data.

Profiling is allowed if you have given your consent or if it is necessary for the performance of a contract, to comply with a legal obligation, to protect your vital interest, the public interest, the exercise of public authority or the legitimate interest of the controller or a third party.

You can always refuse profiling for prospecting purposes.
