The National Data Protection Commission attended the Privacy Symposium, an international conference designed to facilitate dialogue, cooperation and convergence among experts, researchers and data protection authorities from all over the world. The 2024 edition was held from 10 to 14 June in Venice (Italy).
Alain Herrmann, CNPD Commissioner, took part in several panels. Jérôme Commodi, CNPD investigator, presented the DAAZ project, a tool to help comply with the GDPR developed by the CNPD in collaboration with the Luxembourg House of Cybersecurity and the National Cybersecurity Competence Center.
The Privacy Symposium provided an opportunity for fruitful exchanges on the latest developments and prospects in data protection and privacy. With over 300 authorities and experts sharing their perspectives, it provided a meeting place for data protection professionals, experts, authorities and researchers promoting international dialogue, cooperation and knowledge sharing on data protection, compliance and innovative technologies.
The next Privacy Symposium is scheduled for 12-16 May 2025 in Venice.
